Faithless frontman’s jazz and blues inflected side project, Maxi Jazz & The E-type Boys hit the road this December with reggae legends UB40 for an extensive arena tour of the UK with a Stylus custom audio package forming the foundation of their live sound.
As a 9-piece multi-instrumental ensemble with a varied repertoire the challenge was to design a compact, tourable audio package capable of displaying the rich arrangements of Maxi’s latest work to its fullest extent – a target the audio team at Stylus gladly accepted.
The result is a twin DiGiCo SD11i control package providing the necessary functionality in a compact format, keeping things streamlined without compromising on quality. A Shure PSM-1000 and Axient Wireless Management IEM system plus a bespoke microphone package complete what we feel is a very powerful solution with capabilities that far exceed the expectations of something with its diminutive statute.
