George Ezra made his latest Glastonbury appearance as surprise guest on the John Peel Stage to a rapturous welcome from a jubilent crowd. Fresh from the success of reaching No. 1 with new album Gold Rush Kid, his audience were treated to a mix of favourites and new material which set expectations even higher ahead of next month’s headlone show at London’s Finsbury Park.
Over on the Other Stage another Glastonbury favourite Lianne La Havas kicked off a tour of summer festivals with a spell-binding performance of songs spanning her career, much to the delight of all in attendance.
Ahead of the release of new album ‘The Theory of Whatever’ next month, indestructable indie favourtie Jamie T gave his audience at the John Peel Stage excatly what they wanted; barely contained energy and anthemic tunes. Making only his second live appearance in five years, the London singer/songwriter showed he has lost none of his touch as he ushered in a new era in his colourful career as he announces UK tour dates for later in the year.
